The official languages are English (59 000 speakers) and Yue Chinese (Cantonese, 5 292 000 speakers). Also spoken are Hakka Chinese , Macanese , Mandarin Chinese and Min Nan Chinese .
Chinese names are written in the order family name + given name + generational name. Mao Zedong was Mr Mao and not Mr Zedong. A generational name is one that is shared with siblings and first cousins on the paternal line, and is not always used. For full details, please refer to the chapter on China.
Tables of names can be acquired: given names , surnames/family names , family name prefixes , forms of address , job titles
Hong Kong company types include:

According to the Hong Kong postal authorities, addresses should always include:
- Name of addressee - Flat and floor numbers - Name of building - Number of building and name of street - Name of village, town or district in upper case - HONG KONG, KOWLOON or NEW TERRITORIES as appropriate (in upper case).
The format is:
Addressee Flat number[, ]Floor number[, ]Building name house number[ ]Thoroughfare name Village, town or district PART OF HONG KONG

In reality, addresses are often found without all of these elements.
For post office box addresses, the required elements are:
- Name of addressee - Post office box number - Name of post office where the box is located in upper case - HONG KONG, KOWLOON or NEW TERRITORIES as appropriate (in upper case).
The format is:
Addressee [P.O. Box ]number POST OFFICE NAME PART OF HONG KONG
